Oh taste and see that the LORD is good;
How would you describe the taste of sugar to someone who had never tasted sweetness? How do you describe a spice? And how would you describe a rainbow to someone who was born blind or your favorite song to someone who is deaf?
It is not impossible, but its very difficult. Somethings must be experienced, they cannot be describe.
In a similar way, GOD cannot be explained or described. If GOD is to be known, He must be experienced. So the Bible tells us to “taste and see that the LORD is good.”
The Bible, in its very first verse, simply states the existence of God, without any attempt to explain it or prove it. “In the beginning, God…” (Genesis 1:1) That is not to say that there is no evidence for the existence of God. “The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.” (Psalm 19:1) And there are very compelling rational and scientific arguments for the existence of God. But ultimately, the proof is in the pudding.
